BAC notice to airport tenants discouraging cycling

Despite BAC discouraging cycling on airport roads, most cycle commuters have continued to cycle. The high price of fuel, and traffic congestion are probably the reasons cycling remains popular. Some airport roads have wide sealed shoulders, no parked cars and few intersections and are better to ride on than many other Brisbane Roads. Other roads, such as sections of Airport Drive and areas of Lomandra Drive have had concrete concrete barriers placed on the shoulder, obstructing the shoulder and are no fun at all to ride along.

List of sensible things to do today: discourage cycling, cover old airport in mountain of earth and then remove it again, dredge pristine bay for new runway landfill, disturb acid-sulphate soils for new runway, pave new runway instead of bikeways, duplicate gateway instead of bikeways, answer congestion complaint letters about airport drive - can't see why it is so full of workers who could cycle or train to work, double terminal sizes, build huge car parks instead of bikeways, charge more than a taxi fare for a train ticket to travel same distance, employ people who smoke to guard the avgas fuel storage facilities, get industry to award itself for being a leader.
